ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ORAL INFERTILITY MEDICATIONS:

Bromocriptine Mesylate or Cabergoline for Infertility
Bromocriptine and cabergoline reduce the body's amount of prolactin, a hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Excess prolactin makes a woman stop ovulating and may interfere with male reproductive functions.

Clomiphene Citrate for Infertility
Clomiphene stimulates the release of hormones needed to cause ovulation. Clomiphene alone has not proven to be an effective treatment for couples with unexplained infertility. However, when clomiphene is used before intrauterine insemination or fallopian sperm perfusion, it improves chances of conception to more than 20% per cycle.

Metformin (Glucophage) for polycystic ovary syndrome
Metformin can be used to treat women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) who have not been able to keep their blood sugar levels within a safe range by eating a healthy diet, losing weight, and exercising regularly.
